Odell
Riley
Feb 3, 1966 — Dec 22, 2023
St. George
Odell Riley departed this life on Friday, December 22, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 3, 1966 to the late John, Jr. and Frances Riley.
Odell graduated from St. George High School in 1985. He was a member at Bethel AME Church in St. George, South Carolina where he served on the Trustee Board and Pastor's Aid Board.
Odell was joined in holy matrimony to Eula Garvin on June 16, 1990. From this union one daughter was born.
Odell received several professional certifications. He was employed by various companies to include business ownership and lastly as a Maintenance Technician at CB/I.
Odell loved people, and never met a stranger. He often used humor to help others feel comfortable or to simply laugh. But most importantly, Odell loved being a husband and father. He loved nothing more than caring for, and displaying love to his beautiful wife Eula and lovely daughter Shannon. He immensely enjoyed spending time with his family, attending family gatherings, and watching his favorite television programs-and relishing a wholesome, unrestrained, hearty laughter.
Odell was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John, Sr. and Geneva Riley and maternal grandparents, George, and Frances Jones.
Precious memories of Odell will forever be treasured by his wife, Eula; daughter, Shannon; brother, Donell (Jean) Riley of Suffolk, VA; sisters, Vera F. Riley of Reevesville, SC, Priscilla (Keith) Ragsdale of Manassas, VA, and Darlene Riley of Virginia Beach, VA; aunt, Geraldine Riley of Brooklyn, NY; uncle, Shedrick (Virginia) Boyd of Round O, SC; brothers-in-law, James (Loreatha) Garvin and Cato (Linda) Johnson both of St. George, SC and Richard (Vanessa) Johnson of Holly Hill, SC; one sister-in-law, Barbara Johnson of St. George, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
