Nathaniel "Pop" Primus, son of the late Deacon Nemie Primus and Deaconess Lucille Baxter Primus was born September 17, 1949 in Dorchester County.
On January 21, 2019, God looked down and called his solider home for his work on earth was done and he wanted him to receive his reward, external life.
He attended public schools in Dorchester County and was a 1968 graduate of Williams Memorial High School.
At an early age he joined Bethel Baptist Church. Nathaniel moved to New York in his early years. Upon returning home he was employed by Brosnan Forest.
Nathaniel was an avid fisherman and loved fishing with his friends. He also loved soaking up the sun with his dog "Bingo" and reading the newspaper.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his siblings, Jocille Primus-Mithelle of the home, Richard (Debra) Primus, Mary (Clarence) Simmons, Brenda (Franklin) Mack all of Harleyville, SC, Heyward (Isabella) Primus, Howard (Mary) Primus, Catherine (Harry) Williams all of St. George, SC and Tenna D. Primus of Summerville, SC; two sisters-in-law, Louise Primus of New York and Ruby Primus of Pennsylvania; one brother-in-law, Morrison Lawrence of Louisiana; four aunts; goddaughter, Cassandra Simmons-Green; special cousin and caregiver, "Night-Shift", Annette Banks; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends; his fishing buddies; a very special person, Sister Clarine Barton.
