Minister Joseph
Stewart
Sep 20, 1935 — Oct 19, 2018
Saint George
Minister Joseph Stewart was born on September 20, 1935. He went to his Heavenly Home on October 19, 2018. He was born to the late Morris and Marcina Stewart. Joseph was one of nine siblings.
Joseph was married to the late Pastor Lessie Pringle Stewart. It was through their sacrifice and love for God that Miracle Temple Deliverance Church was created by God. Many souls were saved, delivered and set free. He was a man of few words but when he spoke, it was with Godly Wisdom. He never complained about anything, the Joy of the Lord was his strength.
Uncle Joe as we at Miracle Temple called him, always had a warm smile on his face, no matter how he felt. We will greatly miss his presence. His favorite thing to do was play the guitar. He was the first one there on Sunday morning as he had his own set of keys. No matter what was going on at the church if it was choir practice, cleaning the church, cutting the grass or whatever, Uncle Joe would unlock the back door and come on in and sit in his favorite seat.
Cherishing his precious memories, an adopted son, Clay Rogers Pringle (Viola); three sisters, Lottie Carlisle of Louisville, Kentucky, twin sister, Mary Shinn of Summerville, SC and Dorothy Martin of New York; sister-in-law, Evangelist Mable Stewart of Reevesville, SC; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a close friend Mr. Joe Davis.
