Mrs. Mildred Duggins, of Dorchester, South Carolina, was born November 23rd, 1954 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Malachi and Mahalia Duggins. She was summoned by God into eternal rest on Friday, April 29th, 2016.
Mildred affectionately known as "Mirdit" attended Abraham High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1971. Mildred was very easy to talk to and became the family' listening ear. She enjoyed many things like watching old movies, keeping up with political figures, spending time with her siblings and grandchildren and baking. She also loved sending family and friends birthday cards to let them know they are loved.
Mildred was a very hardworking woman who instilled the same values in her children. She devoted her life to taking care of children to include those with special needs and later moving to personal in-home care.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving children, Brian Duggins (Cindy) of Dorchester, SC, and Bridgett Renee Duggins (Oneal) of Summerville, SC; her precious grandchildren, Marcus Alexander Duggins, Cameron Oneal Williams and Lyric Olivia Williams; her loving siblings, Claybelle Durant of Brooklyn, NY, Rosemary Duggins of Charleston, SC, the late Malachi "Jr." Duggins of St. George, SC, Dorothy Duggins-Smith of Ridgeville, SC, Jimmy Duggins of St. George, SC and Martha Ann Lemon (Thomas) of Harleyville, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; Ms. Betty Carn, her devoted friend of 36 years will also cherish loving memories.
Her honorary children are Emily Jaskwhich, Max Jaskwhich, Jake Jaskwhich, Libby Jaskwhich, Sidney Schilousky, Priscilla Lawrimore, and Grace Lawrimore.
She will live forever in our hearts.
