Melvin Glover-Adams born in South Carolina was a beautiful soul of God. He attended school in Brooklyn, New York and began working at an early age. He attended church at an early age, played the drums, and sang in the choir. Melvin always kept his bible near him and knew God's word. Even in his later years, he often sat on his porch, reading his bible and God's word. He attended St. Mark UM Church.

He was a devout provider for his family, always bringing home food and taking care of household business. He worked daily, up until his early departure from this world. Melvin was a veteran of the United States Army, an avid sportsman of track-n-field, basketball, handball, sport fishing. He excelled in many endeavors. He was a man of joy and enjoyed laughter and having fun too.

As one of the early breadwinners in a family of nine including siblings and mother and father. While his parents worked, as an older brother, Melvin was his youngest sister's chaperone; taking her to perform T.V. commercials, plays, and teaching her how to travel by train in N.Y.C. He was his baby sister's hero. She followed behind him as an adult and entered the United States Army serving her country as did Melvin.

Melvin is predeceased by his mother, Virginia Adams, brothers Robert L. Glover- Adams Jr., and Henry Lloyd Adams. Melvin leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters, Linda Faye Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y., Christine Adams-Hernandez of Omaha Nebraska, his brother-in-law, Benito Hernandez Maya of Omaha Nebraska, his youngest sister, Dr. Ayin Marilyn Delane Adams of  Hawaii, his brother, Clarence Alvin Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y., his sister-in-law Tasha Jameson Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y., his sons; Michael Moran of Pennsylvania, and Jamel Skinner of North Carolina, his nephews, Alquan Pinkard of Pennsylvania, and Gregory Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y., his niece Tywana Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y., his uncle Rev. L.C. Adams of Queens, N.Y., his aunt Lois Adams of Queens, N.Y., Curtis Kitt of C., Johnny Mae Pepper of Florida, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his great niece Haven Pinkard-Hare, great nephew, Lamar Adams and  dear friends Mrs. Maggie Carn, Henry Carn Sr., Henry Carn Jr., and Sandra Carn of Reevesville, S.C., a host of  family members, cousins, and friends.
