Obituary

Mr. McCoy Glover "Pot" was born August 5, 1948 in St. George, South Carolina to the late Ernest and the late Thelma Glover Cummings.  He went into eternal rest on May 23, 2021 in Johns Island Post-Acute.

McCoy was known as "Pot" or "Daddy Pot".  He attended the Public Schools of Dorchester County.  He was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.

McCoy worked for a local diary for many years.  He also worked at Reeves Salvage Yard for many years until his health declined.

McCoy enjoyed working on cars, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was a handy man and he took joy in giving a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

McCoy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John Glover, Ernest Lee Cummings, and Roger C. Williams, and sister, Mary Williams.

McCoy leaves precious and enjoyable memories to his children, Jeremy Johnson (Jasmine) of Bowman, SC, Fatima Neals Dean and Felicia Johnson both of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Javea and Jeremy Johnson, Jr., Jeremiah and Jenasys Morris, Jayelle & Jordyn Dean and Denise Wiggins; sisters, Loretta Glover (Roger) and Dorene Cummings (Gerald) both of St. George, SC, Ernestine Cummings Peden of Summerville, SC, Patricia Carn of Reevesville, SC, Angie Williams, Michelle Simmons and Barbara A. Williams all of St. George, SC; brothers, Arthur (Inga) Cummings of Reevesville, SC, Floyd Cummings, Tony Glover (Val) and Eugene Barnwell all of St. George, SC; uncles, Howard Lee (Gertrude) Glover, James Willis Glover and Mack Cummings, Jr.; aunts, Avon King, Martha Glover, Lois Glover, Dora L. Cummings, Rosa L. Lemon, Rosa M. Glover, Nellie R. Glover, Minnie L. (Margin) Breaker and Alma (Roosevelt) Matthews, Geneva M. Cummings, Mary Simmons, Helen (Billy) Jaminson, Mildred Goodwin, Elease Williams, Pearle Williams and Annie M. Hadden; special friends, Priscilla Neals, Zenette Neals and Jackie Green; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
