Mary Frances Butler was born on December 22, 1950 in Bamberg, SC to the late Jerlee Turner Williams and Johnnie Williams. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at her home in Branchville, SC.

Mary grew up in Bamberg County and attended the public schools there. She joined and was baptized at Free Gift Baptist Church at an early age, later in life she moved her membership to the House of God Branchville in Branchville, SC. She was a faithful member at the House of God where she was on the Kitchen Committee, she did lawn service, making sure the grass was cut and presentable.  She led the devotion services; she did whatever she needed to do to help until her health began to fail. When she was unable to attend church, she would send messages or send someone to let them know what she wanted done.

Mary was married to the late Robert Butler, Jr. of Branchville, SC. She was employed at the Prince of Orange Mall in Orangeburg, SC. She also worked at Kimlor Mills in Orangeburg, SC for many years. Mary loved traveling, shopping and browsing flea markets. But most of all she loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She would throw a cookout together in a day and invite everyone to come fellowship with her.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Precious M. Butler, grandson, Samuel, Jr., brothers, Rogers, Johnnie C., Joye Lee, Willie James and Freddie, sisters, Leola Sammon and Letha M. Davis and a special nephew that loved his Auntie, Johnnie "Poppa" Williams.

Loved ones who will have cherished memories: her sons, Michael Williams of Orangeburg, SC, Thomas (Donna) Williams of Branchville, SC , and Timothy (Theresa) Butler of Tacoma, WA; her daughters, Sharlene Williams, and Kimmie Butler Both of Branchville, SC, and Carrie (Thomas) McCray of Walterboro SC; a niece that she took as her daughter, Devarn (Tony) Simmons of Orangeburg, SC; an adopted daughter, Sandra Gardner; sister, Daisy Williams of the home; her grandchildren: Toppaz, Ashley, Thomas Jr., lndya, Ebony, Sheyann, Tavion, Shayla, Tesyhas, Amare, Daniel, Adaya, Angel, Destiny, Naomi, lmani, Acquinetta, Mari and Evante; her great grandchildren, Anya, Nevaeh, Alaya, Novi, Timothy, Journey, Kanya, JaMonte, and Samiya; her best friend, Mrs. Sarah West Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
