Mary L. Stevens Mitchell, daughter of the late Mr. James David Stevens and Mrs. Mary Reeves Stevens departed this life on Friday, November 17, 2017 after a long illness at the Cobble Hill Nursing Home in Brooklyn, New York.  She was born in Saint George, Dorchester County, South Carolina on May 4, 1941.

Mary attended the Dorchester County Public Schools where she graduated from Williams Memorial High School in 1959.

Mary was employed as a Stocks, Bonds and Securities Clerk with J.P. Morgan Bank in New York, New York.

Mary was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Albert Mitchell, who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: her children, Jacqueline Williams of Laurel, MD and James Darren Williams of Bronx, NY; three brothers, David M. Stevens of Bronx, NY, Howard L. Bradley of St. George, SC and Horace Bradley of Brooklyn, NY; one granddaughter, Tiarva S. Burke of Macon, GA; one grandson, Justin D. Williams of Petersburg, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
