Ms. Mary Louise Brand Mcfadden was born on September 20, 1944, in Dorchester County to the late Joseph (JC) Brand and the late Martha Barnwell Brand Shuler.

Mary was a 1962 graduate of Williams Memorial High School. She worked at Carolina Girls, INC and Hunter MFG, where she was a seamstress for many years.

At an early age, she joined Good Hope Baptist Church. She married and moved to Charleston, SC, joining Royal Missionary Baptist Church. She later relocated to Ridgeville, SC and became a member of Christ Temple Church.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Johnny James McFadden and to this union four children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories: five sons, Daryal (Ulrica) McFadden of Columbia, SC, Tim (Melinda) McFadden of Summerville, SC, Jyan McFadden of Ridgeville, SC, Jason (Selena) McFadden of Holly Hill, SC and Brandon McFadden of Ridgeville, SC; one daughter, Keisha Weeks; a devoted and loyal companion, Joe Weeks; one honorary son, Isaiah Singeton of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters, Nancy Neals of St. George, SC and Evelyn (Joe) Bryant of Harleyville, SC; three brothers, Charles (Valerie) Brand of St. George, SC, Connie Shuler of Fayetteville, NC, and Thomas Shuler of New York; three aunts, Carrie Pryor of Charleston, SC, Angie Brand Britt of St. George, SC and Ruth Brand of Mobile, AL; two uncles, Isacc (Mary Ruth) Barnwell and David Barnwell both of St. George, SC; 10 grandchildren, Shanetris, Summer, Melayshia, James, Antoinette, Jyan, Donald, Kassandra, James, Angel; three great-grandchildren, Zalaya, Derrick, Nevaeh; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
