Marvin Britt, Sr. entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at his residence.

He was born January 24, 1947 in St. George, SC. Marvin was the son of the late Alonzo "Jack" Britt and Ruby Mae C. Britt.

He grew up in Texas Community and joined St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Williams Memorial High School. He then spent a short time of his life in New York to later returned home to Saint George, SC. He started his career at Sanders Brothers Construction May 8, 1971. He retired February 24, 2012 after 41 years.

He then met and married the love of his life, Emma Lee Gilbert Britt in 1987 in which they were married for 36 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Charlie Britt, and one sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Banks.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, Emma Lee Gilbert Britt of the home; children: Marvin Marquin Britt (Rowena Riley), Olivia Felicia Britt (Devin Dwight), Marvin Rondell (Melissa) Hodges, and Sherwin Jerome (Wanda) Heyward; one sister, Juanita (Jimmy) Adams; five grands: Shawana Quineisha Britt, Shadell Alvin Summers, Keyonta Marquin Britt, Kayven Lamar Brown, and Khaliah Belton; three bonus granddaughters, three great-grands: Isaiah Marquis Branham, Cymphany Armany Rainey, and Christian Josiah Rainey. two special nieces: Ornette (Darnell) Harley and Valencia Gilbert; six sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
