Martin Nichols, Jr., III was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 13, 1953.  He is the second son of Martin Nichols, II and Mary Lucy Bolling Nichols.  He graduated from Jamaica High School in 1970.  He attended Queensboro College and majored in steamfitting.  He was a faithful, dedicated member and deacon of World Wide Deliverance Church in Brooklyn, New York and Summerville, South Carolina from 1974 until his passing.  He ran his own landscaping company named "Neat and Clean" for many years and is well known for his impeccable and precise fence building, unique concrete patios, irrigation systems and landscaping.  He leaves a special and wonderful wife, Alethia G. Nichols of forty years.  She blessed him with a sweet, loving daughter, Faith S. Brown (Joe) and also Al Curtis Rogers (Bridget), Timothy D. Rogers (Joyce), Robert Rogers (Tashonda).  He has always been thankful to God for blessing him with his daughter Tonya L. Boyce (Husband).  His siblings Earnest Bolling, Francine Pittman (Douglas), Ruthan Askew (late Bishop Kenneth Askew).  He also leaves his grandchildren: Timeka Palmer, Malquan Pimentel, Corey Rogers, Stephen Palmer, Timothy Rogers, Jr., Tiffany Rogers, Josalyn Rogers, Nakira Boyce, Jordan Boyce, Maya Bryant, Robert Bryant, Jr., Delonte Bickham, Josiah Brown and Sarah Trinity Brown and a host of great-grandchildren.  He thanked God for his family of God, his church.  He became the spiritual being in Jesus Christ through the greatest inspirations of his life, his Apostle Ruth Middleton Sanders and the late Apostle C. A. Middleton.  "For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister and my mother."  Mark 3:35 KJV

The spiritual thing he wanted to be remembered by most of all, was that he was a person that let God super rule in his life.  He also wanted to be remembered as a husband and father that provided all of his family's needs as God provided: spiritually, naturally and financially.  Also, as a forgiving and loving person to every one because as God forgave him, he wanted to return the forgiveness to others.
