Obituary

Mrs. Martha Williams Holman, affectionately known as "Hun" was summoned by God's heavenly angels on Sunday, January 7, 2018.  She was born on April 6, 1926, the second oldest child to the late Earl and Valerie Neals Williams.

"Hun" was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and an associate member at Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God.

"Hun" had a great love for her children and grandchildren.  She will truly be missed by all those she loved and those who loved her.  Surely God has granted the soul of Martha Williams Holman eternal rest.

Those who preceded her in death and awaited the Grand Family Reunion are her parents; spouse, James Holman, Sr.; a son, Charles Allen Holman; grandchildren, LaShaun Polly, Shaw Holman; siblings, Freddie Williams, Ida Mae Johnson, Joseph Williams, Jasper Williams, Bobby Williams and Will Williams.

"Hun" leaves to cherish her legacy and forever be remembered by....Her Loving and Devoted children:  three daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Polly (Ulysses) of Bowie, MD, Mrs. Martha Brown of the home, Mrs. Vivian (Robert) Gilliard of St. George, SC; six sons, Mr. James Holman, Jr. of Washington DC, Mr. McCray Holman of Orangeburg, SC, Mr. Herman (Harriet) Holman of Reevesville, SC, John Clay Holman of Jersey City, NJ, Vernon (Cindy) Holman, Harold Leon Holman both of St. George, SC; three grandchildren she raised in her home, Richard Holman, James Holman, Jr. and Patsy H. Gardner; her special granddaughters, Mary, Martha and Nancy Brown; sisters, Mrs. Louise Summers of  New York, Mrs. Mildred Goodwin of St. George, SC, Mrs. Helen (Billy) Jamison of Knoxville, TN, Valeria Goodwin of New York; sister-in-law, Minnie L. (Margin) Breaker of  Bowman, SC, Lenelle Summers, Elease Williams, and Pearline Williams all of St. George, SC, son-in-law, Joseph Brown of St. George, SC;  eighteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
