Brother Marion Wolfe, son of the late Mr. Robert Wolfe and Mrs. Missouri Bryant Wolfe entered into peaceful slumber to travel to his eternal home on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Marion, who was very well-known as "Peter", was born in Reevesville, South Carolina on March 11, 1938. He grew up in Reevesville and attended the public schools of Dorchester County. Upon completing high school, he migrated to Tampa, Florida where he lived and worked for a number of years before returning to Reevesville. Later, he moved to New York where he remained until his retirement. Finally, he settled in the family home to live out his life.
As a young man, he joined St. Matthew Baptist Church. Upon his return home, he reconnected himself with the Saints at St. Matthew.
"Peter" was a friendly man who truly enjoyed family gatherings. He had great joy in talking and visiting with his cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. He enjoyed cooking and was known for making "red rice".
He was preceded in death by parents and three sisters, Elizabeth W. Lewis, Annie W. Green, and Willie Mae W. Mack. He will be remembered with love by many who knew him.
Those who will always keep him dear in heart and memory includes: one brother, Mr. Nelson (Maude) Freeman of Bronx, New York; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn (Irvin) W. Ravenell of New York City, New York; many nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and friends.
