Margin "Crankshaft" Breaker, Sr. was born on August 31, 1931, in Dorchester, SC, to the late Mr. Abraham and Susan Breaker. Margin entered eternal life on September 25, 2023, at the residence with his family by his side.

Margin, affectionately known as Crankshaft, received his education from Dorchester County school system. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Margin married Minnie Lee Breaker on April 15, 1950. The two were each other's lifelong companions for 73 years. They were blessed to have 5 children: Clay, Woodrow, Pearl, Melvin, and Linda.

Margin worked as a security officer with Wells Fargo for 15 years. Margin then moved with his family to South Carolina where he worked as a cement truck driver for Star Redi Mix in which he worked for 12 years before retiring.

Margin was a member of Second Providence Baptist Church where he was the oldest member of the church. Margin never met a stranger. He was a craftsman who took pride in his creations. He enjoyed sight-seeing, spending time with his brother, Lewis, mentorship, and direct interaction with all that crossed his path.

Margin is preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Susan Breaker; his siblings, Lessie Baxter, Eartha Lee Irick, Abraham Breaker Jr, Wilson Breaker, Murchelle Davis, Lannie Robinson, and Joshua Breaker; son, Woodrow Breaker; and two grandchildren, Delonte Breaker and Michelle Johnson.

Margin is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Minnie Lee Breaker of the residence; brother and best friend, Joe Lewis Breaker of Santee, SC; his children, Clay (Brenda) Breaker of District Heights, MD, Pearl Breaker of Bowman, SC, Melvin (Treva) Breaker of Temple Hills, MD, and Linda Breaker Banks of Bowman, SC; 11 grandchildren, Daniel Rush, Jason (Chrissy) Breaker, Curtis Carroll, Anthony (Lashawn) Carroll, Angela Breaker, Tommy Banks, Tammi (Ayishia) Banks-Johnson, Tomeka Banks, Sheree Breaker, Melvin Breaker Jr, and Travell Breaker; 20 great-grandchildren, a special family friend, Charlene Breaker, and a host of nieces and nephews.
