Marcus Shamaine Lewis entered eternal life on February 23, 2023.  Marcus Shamaine Lewis was born on October 20, 1977 to Ernestine Lewis and the late Johnnie Wade.

He attended Dorchester County Public Schools.  He was a graduate of St. George High School class of 1995.  He was employed at GAF in North Charleston, South Carolina.

He was known for his friendly and loving personality.  He enjoyed drag racing and spending time with his family, especially his daughter.

Marcus was a loving and devoted son, father, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Ernest Lewis and Floyd Wade; two grandmothers, Alma Lewis and Rosa Wade; and one sister, Sabrina Peppers.

He leaves to cherish his loving memoires his mother, Ernestine Lewis of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Makyah Lewis of Charleston, SC; one brother, Bernard (Carrie) Lewis of Columbia, SC; one sister, Sharon Wade of St. George, SC; aunts, Arlene (Willie) Carroll and Johnnie Mae Lewis both of St. George, SC and Evelyn Salley of Columbia, SC; uncles, Winston Lewis of Summerville, SC; Jerome Wade and Thomas Wade both of St. George, SC; two special cousins, Tyree Carroll and Aldridge Lewis both of St. George, SC; the mother of his daughter, Ahinsa Rogers; a special friend, Marilyn Rice; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
