On Thursday July 10 th , 2025 at 9:55 am Lourine Harrison peacefully departed this life at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Up until the end of her life, Lourine maintained her kindness, Grace, Compassion, Appreciation of Beauty and Love of Family and Friends.
Lourine expressed gratitude for her long life (90 years Old) full of wonderful and varied experiences.
Lourine was born to the late Randolph and Louise Buckner on September 3rd, 1934.
Lourine "Linkey" Buckner met and married the late Alonzo Harrison, Sr. on December 18th, 1949 from that union five children were born. In November of 1958, The Harrison Family relocated to Brooklyn, NY.
Lourine joined Bright Light Missionary Baptist Church in 1963 under the leadership of Rev. Freddie Lee Brown, and was a pioneer member of Greater Bright Light Missionary Baptist Church, presently under the leadership of Pastor Grady E. Zellars.
Lourine loved the Lord, her almighty Father Jesus Christ. Lourine would say "I'm living this long life by the Grace of God, My Master, My Heavenly Father and when He call me home I will be ready, Thank you Jesus".
Lourine was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn; sons, Preston, Lewis and Alfonzo Jr; husband, Alfonzo Sr.; mother and father, Louise and Randolph Buckner; one sister, Flossie Mae Moore; brother- in-law, Herbert Moore, Sr; stepmother, Juanita Bucker.
Lourine leaves to cherish her memories the only one devoted daughter, Blanche Harrison of Brooklyn, NY; eight grandchildren, Monique, Alicia, Latonya, Tawanna, Sharod, Tamika, Krystal and Oneeka; fourteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; eleven nieces; two nephews; two stepsisters, Stacey Govan and Eunice Wolf; two stepbrothers, Ricky Govan (Sandra) and Danny Govan all of St. George, SC; a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
