Louis Stewart, Jr. (Sonny) was born September 24, 1948 in Reevesville, South Carolina to Mother Mable Stewart and the late Deacon Louis Stewart, Sr.

He departed this life quietly in his sleep Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his residence.

Louis graduated from Williams Memorial High School in 1968.  After graduating Louis moved to New York.  Louis began working for Ideal Toy Company.  Once he left Ideal Toy Company, he worked for Webuilt Appliances.  During Louis stay in New York he worked various jobs until opening his own business.  He owned and operated his business for thirteen years until he became disabled then returned home to reside with his mother.

Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis Stewart, Sr. and his son, Duane Alexander.

Louis leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Mable Stewart, his wife, Albertha Stewart; two sisters, Laverne (James) Frazier and Lizzie Stewart; one step daughter, Tonya Coaxum; three step grandchildren, Tiffany, Brendolyn and Tyler; two step great grandchildren, Treasure and Gionni; three nephews, Gregory Stewart and  James Frazier, Jr. both of Columbia, SC and Lavoris Frazier of Clearview, SC; three aunts, Dorothy Martin of Jamaica, NY, Mary Shin of Summerville, SC and Lottie Mae Carlise of Kentucky; countless cousins, and friends.  A special thanks to his home attendant, Pat Booker and special thanks to Ricky Williams for driving Louis to church and special thanks to everyone who assisted him.
