Louis Boyd was born December 31, 1936 to the late Joshua Boyd and Aileen Heyward-Boyd. Louis entered into eternal rest early afternoon on February 27, 2012 at his home where he was born, raised and lived.
Louis Boyd was educated in the Dorchester County School System. Louis became a member of Bethel A. M. E. at an early age. Later in life Louis moved to New York where he was employed with Westvaco. Several years later he moved back home to St. George were he continued his employment with Westvaco Inc. Louis retired in 1998 after 30 plus years.
Louis Boyd was married Elvenia Gary in 1963. With this union came three children; Deborah, Tanya and Lamont. Louis was a #1 LOVER and PROVIDER for his family.
Louis Boyd gained a new love for after retirement. He could be seen on any day cutting grass, chopping wood, trimming hedges, riding around town, shopping in the local grocery stores, or just chilling outside on his patio.

Boyd, two daughters Deborah Boyd-Canadys aka Debbie, Tanya Aileen Boyd, and Elder Louis Lamont Boyd, Jr. one brother Joseph (Tammy) Boyd, one brother-in-law by marriage Virgil McMillan, one uncle Alex (Bernell) Heyward, sisters-in-law Deloris Parks, Lecey (Julian) Gunthrope, Geneva Anderson, Flora (Carton) Powell, Janis Cooper, Gloria (Frank David) McFadden, Shirley Cooper and Shirley Cooper, brothers-in-law John Wallace (Jeanette) Gary, Grady (Michelle) Cooper, Bennie (Deloris) Cooper . Extended children and grandchildren Bishop Author Cobbs and Elois Cobbs (LaShone, Romont, Trumaine and Makilayh), Danita (Lyn) Summers (Kyah, Eligah, Kalongi, Mason), and WhaTinia (Keith) Mack (Jeylen and Tenia) Queen Ester White (Zephaniah and Taylor); One god-daughter Chanel Martin and a host of many niece, nephews, cousins, and friends.
