The Late Mrs. Lottie Britt Williams was called home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 7. After an extended illness, she passed away peacefully at Walterboro Hospital at the age of 59. Lottie was generous, sweet and the epitome of love. She loved her husband dearly. She doted on and was so very proud of her siblings, nieces and nephews. Lottie loved her family and church family. She loved making jewelry, creating special gifts, and gardening. Lottie treasured her flowers, plants and fruit trees. She enjoyed bible studies and using her prayer journal.
She was born in St. George, SC on June 10, 1963 to Isadore and Ellen Harley Britt, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Reevesville, SC surrounded by her maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Lula Reeves Elmore and members of the Reeves Family. Lottie was adored by her aunt and second mother, Mamie (Eugene) Johnson of Titusville, FL.
She attended the Dorchester District Four Public School System and graduated from St. George High School in 1984. She completed her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification at Brevard Community College, Titusville, FL. In her early life, Saint Matthew's Baptist Church became her church home and the foundation for her walk with the Lord. She became a member of Saint George church of Christ and remained a faithful member until her death.
She is survived by many who loved and cherished her. She was the devoted and beloved wife of Mr. Andy Williams of the home. Lottie was cherished and loved by her siblings to include her brother Clay (Tracy) Britt, San Antonio, Texas; her two sisters, Willia (Jasper) Breaker of Reevesville, SC and Charity (Timothy) Summers of Beaufort, SC. She leaves her chosen sister, Kim (Derek) Johnson of Reevesville, SC. Lottie is also survived by her half-sister, Corine Kinlaw. Lottie had half-sisters and half-brothers who preceded her in death to include Johnny Britt, Rosa Lee (Britt) James, Lelia Mae (Britt) Addison, Joe Roy Britt and Ollie (Britt) Bingley. She will forever be remembered by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gloria Washington of Bowman, SC; Deloris (Soloman) Williams and Eartha (Samuel) Way of St. George; Daniel Myers of Philadelphia, PA; Edward (Renee) Williams of Columbia, SC; Raymond (Lisa) Williams of Titusville, FL; and Melvin (Necy) Williams of Mims, FL.
She will be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends and her St. George Church of Christ Family.
