Mr. Leroy Cobb quietly departed this life on Thursday, October 29, 2020 after declining health.  He was born August 23, 1935 in Dorchester County, the son of the late Humphrey and Sarah Cobb.  His siblings Willard (RC), Jonathan, Queen Esther, and Jannie Ruth all preceded him in death.

He attended the Dorchester County Public School System, but like so many young people of his day, had to leave school to help out on the farm to make ends meet.

Leroy would eventually move to New York, Philadelphia, Seville and Daytona Beach, FL, where he was employed in various and Sundry positions.  He had experience in the hotel industry, in brick masonry, and working with fruit orchards.

After many years of living in Daytona Beach, he eventually decided to move back to St. George.  He discovered he had a talent for landscaping and was a valuable and sought out landscaper for several residents in the neighborhood.

Leroy became a member of the St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his brother-in-law, Paul Britt of St. George, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
