On December 14, 2020, Leroy Carson got his wings and went to walk with the angels.  Leroy was born December 21, 1945 in Dorchester County, St. George, SC.  He was the son to the late Buster Carson and Edna Murray Carson.

Leroy grew up in St. George, South Carolina.  At an early age he joined Shady Grove United Methodist Church.  His favorite thing to do was watching basketball, planting in his garden and planting sugar cane.  He loved to ride his grandchildren on the golf cart while he was attending his garden.

Leroy attended school at Williams Memorial High and graduated with the class of 1966.  He worked at Carolina Girls Wear for twenty-eight years.

He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his brothers, L.C. Carson, J.C. Carson, and Roosevelt Carson and his sister, Georgia Mae Carson Addison.

He leaves to cherish his memories a very, very special friend of fifty years, Viola Felder, who was also his caregiver; his children, Oscar Edwards (Barbara Elmore) of St. George, SC, Lurene Kelly of St. George, SC, Ada Berry (Eddie) of Bowman, SC, Ronald Martino of St. George, SC, Shawn Calvin (Frederick) of St. George, SC and Ladedra Carson (Henry Summers) of the home; his grandchildren, Sierra Kelly, Tavarious Berry, Christopher Martino, Kiersten Martino, Torrey Elliot, Amavri berry, Torrian Elliot, Harmony Summers; great grandchild, Kassidy Mack; his siblings, Lavrene Carson Frazier, Maggie Carson (Louis Carn), and Richard (Eartha) Carson; very special nieces, Sandra Carn McCord, and Ruth Carson; special nephew, Vincent Peppers; special cousin, Rosa Lee Wolfe; a host of special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
