Mr. Legare Simmons was born November 10, 1944 in Summerville, South Carolina.

He graduated from Alston High School in Summerville, South Carolina. He attended Brons Temple Church in Summerville, South Carolina until he married Ms. Delores Simmons of Dorchester, South Carolina.

This union was blessed with two sons, Legare, Jr. and Alexander.

Legare worked at Coca Cola Bottling Company for 30 years. He worked for Dorchester School District Four until he retired.

Legare leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife, Delores Simmons of the home; two sons, Legare (Rose) Simmons, Jr. of Louisiana and Alexander (Michelle) Simmons of Providence, Rhode Island; a host of sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
