Obituary

On February 3, 1986, a flower bloomed in to the Gardner and Williams Family garden of love. On October 9, 2008, 22 years later, that flower faded away. Mr. Larry Donnell Williams, Jr., affectionately known to his family and friends as L.J., was born to Vida Gardner and Larry Donnell Williams, Sr. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Wilmar Gardner.

L.J. grew up in the St. George and Harleyville communities. At an early age, he joined Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Harleyville, SC. He attended the public schools of Dorchester County. He was a former employee of USCOA International Corp. Plant in St. George, SC. In September 2004, L.J. moved to Cleveland, Ohio. He was employed with MET-CHEM, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio on the Master Team Member Fabrication Department.

To know L.J. was to love him. He leaves sweet and lasting memories with: his loving mother, Mrs. Vida G. (Joseph Leroy) Pinckney of Harleyville, SC; his father, Mr. Larry D. Williams, Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio; a loving sister, Ms. Jackie V. Williams of Summerville, SC; five devoted brothers, Sergeant Quinton C. Gardner of Iraq, Mr. Darius Williams of Reevesville, SC, Mr. Kashif Gardner, Mr. Gabriel Gardner and Little Mr. Kalibe Pinckney of Harleyville, SC; two special nephews, Master Ziyoun Williams and Master Ja'Mijae Young both of Summerville, SC; two loving grandmothers, Mrs. Daisy (Rudolph) Stevens of Harleyville, SC and Mrs. Clara Ann Williams of Columbia, SC; his grandfather, Mr. Willie (Tonya) Williams, Sr. of Daytona Beach, Florida; his step grand parents, Joe (Betty) Williams of Ridgeville, SC and Ms. Jackie Williams of Fort Washington Maryland; one step sister, Mrs. Shameika (Ta'sha) Marsh of Norfolk, Virginia; two step brothers, Mr. Joey Pinckney of Ridgeville, SC and Mr. Ira Pinckney of Missouri; six loving aunts, Mrs. Helen (Joseph Carl) Ladson of Harleyville, SC, Mrs. Minnie (Harry, Jr.) Britt and Ms. Sandra Gardner both of St. George, SC, Mrs. Lorie Williams-Giles, Mrs. Michelle Moore and Mrs. Renea Perkins all of Fort Washington, Maryland; three uncles, Mr. Furman (Evone) Gardner of Bowman, SC, Mr. Edward (Floretha) Lemon of Maryland and Mr. Brian Williams of Cob Island, Maryland; eight step aunts; ten step uncles; a loving God mother, Mrs. Gloria J. Brown of St. George, SC; a God son, Roderick
Gilercose of Cleveland, Ohio; nine grand aunts; three grand uncles; special friends, Mr. Johnnie Cobb, Mr. Darrin Williams, Mr. Devin Riley and a host of cousins and friends.
