Mr. Larry (Big L) Mosley, born February 1, 1957 to the late Nathaniel Mosley and the late Inez R. Mosley.  He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Smoaks, South Carolina.

At an early age, Larry joined and became a member of Lovely Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Smoaks, South Carolina.  He loved attending church and hearing the word.  Larry was a devoted member.  He was always on time and sat in the same seat.  He believed in the power of prayer and taught his family to do the same.

Larry attended the public schools of Colleton County.  He was a 1976 graduate of Ruffin High School.  In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards and going to the races.  He was a very good father, friend, and grandfather.  He treated everyone the same.

He was preceded in death by four siblings, Gertie Williams, Diane Gant, Shirlene Griffin and Hattie Mae Yates; two brothers-in-law, Freddie Williams and Jerome Griffin; a son, Orinthial Demetric Joyner; a daughter, Melissa Parker and a very dear and close friend, Gwendolyn Cusack.

He leaves to cherish his memories, five children, Lashonda (Darius) Matthews, Columbia, South Carolina, Tiwanica Cusack (Johnnie), St. George, South Carolina, Eboni (Nathaniel) Simmons, Smoaks, South Carolina, Breyron (Tyrone) West, Charleston, South Carolina and Nashelle Cusack, St. George, South Carolina; two step-sons, Jermaine Cusack and Dashaun Utsey; fifteen grandchildren; two siblings, Nathaniel Mosley, Jr. and Kathy (Virgil) Wright both of Smoaks, South Carolina; one aunt, Ruth M. Shuler; one brother-in-law, Samuel Gant; a special friend, Andrew Simmons; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
