Mr. Larry Brothers, affectionately called, "Tootsie Roll," was born on June 12th, 1955 to Ella Mae Summers Brothers and Maldo Brothers in St. George, SC. At an early age he joined New Hope AME Church. He attended the public schools of South Carolina: Williams Memorial and St. George High.

Larry's passions included: working on cars, dancing, and having fun. Larry developed a special relationship with each one of his nieces and nephews; they loved him affectionately. He was the life of the party and was always in good spirit. His favorite sayings were, "Cotton Candy Sweet as Gold, Let Me See That Tootsie Roll" and "I Gotta Get Back to Georgia".

Larry worked several jobs in South Carolina before relocating to New York City for work as a Body and Fender Repairman. He later relocated to Daytona Beach, FL and worked for MAACO for many years and retired as an Auto Body Repairman. And later relocated to Georgia where he continued his work as a Body Repairman.

Larry enjoyed living the big city life for a few years! After his health started to decline, he returned to Dorchester, SC. On Friday, April 21, 2023, Larry gained his heavenly wings in St. George, SC.
