Laroy Johnson was born January 07, 1990, to Thomas Johnson and Beatrice James-Way. He attended schools in Dorchester County. He was an active landscaper within the community. He loved music, fishing, eating, and working on bikes. He loved and enjoyed his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories: his parents and step-father, Darrin Way, his heart and daughter, Kaliona Johnson aka "Puka" / "Shay Shay", brother, Darrell McCord, Jr., of Bowman, SC, his nephew, JaKhy McCord, aunts, Mae Frances Cobbs of Moncks Corner, SC, Dianna Edwards, Bessie Hodges, Margie (John) Bradley, Lora (Alvin) Govan, and Gloria Johnson all of St. George, Doresa Littles, Laurens, SC, and Clara Johnson of Bowman, SC, uncles, Shawn Moultrie, and Pete (Mena) James of  Harleyville, SC, Ronnie (Sallie) Johnson, Dorchester, SC, Steve Johnson, Charles "Stevie" Williams, and Cary Carn, all of St. George, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
