Kenneth C. Gardner better known as "Zero" was born on November 28, 1960 in Dorchester, SC to the late James, Sr. and Joyce Inabinett Gardner. Kent departed this life on May 20, 2026.

Kenneth graduated from Harleyville-Ridgeville High School in 1979.  He was a great basketball player.  He furthered his education at Denmark Technical College where he studied Auto Mechanic/Body Work.  Kent worked at Boyd's Auto Shop and Ulysses Auto Shop over the years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Joyce I. Gardner; three brothers, Donald Inabinett, Melvin Gardner, and Oddies Gardner.

Kenneth leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his wife, Melissa Gardner of Harleyville, SC; his children, Cheneiqua Kelly, Kendra Lawyer, Angelia (Akil) Bryant, and Maria Lawyer; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mickey C. (Harry) Brown of Ridgeville, SC and Nessa Gardner of St. George, SC; two brothers, James N. Gardner, Jr.  of Ridgeville, SC and Ricky (Grace) Gardner of Eutawville, SC; special aunt, Loretta Simmons of Harleyville, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and friends.
