Kathy "Kat Lee" Perry was born August 17, 1970 in Titusville, FL, the daughter of Barbara Moore and the late James DeLancy. She was raised in Reevesville, SC and later moved to St. George, SC.
She was educated in the Dorchester County Public School System and graduated from St. George High School. After graduating, she displayed her natural leadership and customer service skills, quickly earning a position as shift leader at Wendy's Wilco.
She was a devoted member of Jericho Baptist Church and always looked forward to spending time with her Pastor and his family, listening to the choir, and interacting with members of the church. Her commitment and enthusiasm towards Bible Study were acknowledged by all. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that await her in eternal life.
Kathy was granted her angel wings on April 20, 2017. Her final days were spent surrounded by the ones she laughed with, lived for, and loved. Although her life was cut short due to illness, those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.
She loved spending time with her life-long friends who she considered as sisters; Cynthia Daniels, Angela Summers, Lorraine Summers, Cherise Summers, and Karen Clark.
