Mr. Johnny Boyd, Sr. more affectionately known as "JB" was born February 9, 1934 in Orangeburg, County to the late Mr. Sam and Mrs. Carrie Boyd.  He entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 13, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.

Johnny attended the public school system of Orangeburg County.  He was employed with Giant Cement for 38 years and 8 months.  Johnny was a member of Morris Chapel of Dorchester, South Carolina.

On August 4, 1954, he was united in Holy Matrimony with Neomi Boyd.  This union was blessed with six children.  Two daughters, Mary Ann Boyd and Barbara Ann Boyd, preceded him in death.  His radiant smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his many wonderful and precious memories, one daughter, Shirley (Ronald) Primus of Harleyville, SC, three sons, Johnny (Mary) Boyd, Jr. of Cross, SC, Dennis (Sharon) Boyd of Harleyville, SC and Henry (Janie) Boyd of Summerville, SC; one adopted daughter, Darlene (Charles) Smith of Goose Creek, SC; one brother, Daniel (Gloria) Boyd of Harleyville, SC; one sister, Jessie Mae Gaddist of Ridgeville, SC; two live in grandchildren, Tiffany Hurst and Tre'Vale Wright; special caregiver, Nikki Williams; he is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Josephine Pryor of Ridgeville, SC, Anna Bell Smith of Ladson, SC, Alice Scott of Summerville, SC and Carean Harrison of Miami, FL; one brother-in-law, John (Sarah) Smith of Harleyville, SC; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
