Mr. Johnny C. "Ralph" Wamer was born June 22, 1939 to the late James Wamer, Sr. and Louis Bell Winningham Wamer.  He departed his earthly life on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Trident Regional Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Ralph as he was affectionately known by everyone, attended Dorchester County Public Schools.  He moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1957.  While in New York, he worked on an assembly line making brake pads for cars in Bronx, New York.  He worked there for over twenty years until relocating back home to South Carolina.

Ralph met Ada Spruill in 1964.  They were married for fifty-four years.  To this union they were blessed with five children.

Ralph had three sons who preceded him in death- Clifford Wamer, Johnny C. Wamer, Jr. and Joseph Wamer and one daughter, Myra Wamer Hicks.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories:  a loving and devoted wife, Ada Wamer; two sons, Jeffery Wamer and Frederick Wamer, Sr.; two daughters, Michelle Aiken and Tabitha Wamer; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Frank Wamer and Allen Wamer; three brothers-in-law, Fred Clark, Frank (Donna) Spruill and Ricky Spruill; one aunt, Anease Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
