Mr. Johnnie Lee Wade was born July 5, 1950 in St. George, SC to Rosa Lee Wade and the late Floyd Wade. Johnnie entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, SC, after an extended illness.

Johnnie grew up in St. George and graduated from Williams Memorial High School a proud member of the class of '68. At an early age Johnnie confessed his life to Christ and joined St. Mark Baptist Church.

After graduating from high school, Johnnie entered into the workforce, having worked for many years in various occupations to include manufacturing, construction and mechanics.

At an early age he was joined into holy matrimony to Celeste Cobbs. This union was blessed with two beautiful girls, Sharon Wade Britt and Sabrina Wade Peppers (whom preceded him in death).

Later in life he developed a very special long term relationship and bond with Ernestine Lewis. This union was blessed with two fantastic boys, Bernard Lewis and Marcus Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his mother, Rosa Lee Wade, St. George, SC; one daughter, Sharon Britt, St. George, SC; two sons, Bernard (Carrie) Lewis of Columbia, SC and Marcus Lewis of North Charleston, SC; two brothers, Jerome Wade, St. George/Orangeburg, SC and Thomas (Brenda) Wade of St. George, SC; Ernestine Lewis, a dear and loving companion of many years; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
