Mr. Joe Nathan Haynes, the son of the late Sie and Buler Bell Haynes was born April 15, 1933 in St. George, SC. He departed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Summerville Medical Center.

At an early age Joe Nathan joined St. Luke U.M. Church where he served as a trustee for many years.

Joe Nathan was united in holy matrimony to the late Catherine Mae Sims Haynes. To this union two children were born- Sandra and Cathy.

Joe Nathan served briefly in the United States Army. He was employed by Bennette's Appliance Company for over forty years.

Joe Nathan leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Sandra Haynes of Columbia, SC and Cathy Jo Haynes of Summerville, SC; one brother, Samuel Haynes of St. George, SC, one sister-in-law, Lena Sims of St. George, SC; one brother-in-law, Larry Sims of St. George, SC; one aunt, Angie Mae Barton of St. George, SC; one uncle, Roosevelt (Alma) Mathews of Bowman, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
