Jestine Phyllis
Martino Robinson
Feb 6, 1952 — Jun 5, 2023
Reevesville
Jestine "Jest" Phyllis Martino Robinson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Jestine Phyllis Martino Robinson was summoned home, and entered eternal rest on June 5, 2023 at Trident Medical Center after a brief illness. Jestine was the second of four children born to the late Cecil "Cee" Martino and the late Mary Wolfe Martino.
She was educated in the Dorchester County School System and was a 1969 graduate of Williams Memorial High School.
Jestine's work history over the years includes Comfort Inn, BP, and most recently Pilot/Flying J where she worked until she was no longer able in 2022. Jestine always talked about the love she had for co-workers, but most of all her customers. She worked hard and spent her life taking care of her family.
Jestine joined St. Mark Methodist Church at an early age and was an active member who took her service for the Lord seriously. Jest cheerfully served as the Lead Percussionist for almost 20 years. Many Sundays you would find Jest beating those drums with a smile on her face. Jestine was also a member of other ministries such as the St. Mark Choir, and the United Methodist Women of Faith.
Later in life Jestine met and married her soulmate and the love of her life, Isaiah Jeremiah Robinson. To this union, they were blessed with five sons, two of whom preceded her in death. Ronald Martino and Alex Robinson. They were also parents to four daughters, one of whom preceded her in death, Amy Robinson.
Jestine leaves to cherish her fond memories, three loving children, Kyle "Shiny" Martino, Jeremy Isiah Robinson and Blanchtina Davis all of St. George, SC; her beautiful stepchildren, Stephanie Brooks (Reginald) of Orlando FL; LaDrena G. Robinson of Deltona, FL; Isiah Robinson, Jr. of New Smyrna, FL, and Shannon Robinson of Valdosta, GA; Jestine cherished her beloved sisters, Christine (Robert) Broomfield of Charleston, SC, and Earnestine (John) Felder of Bowman, SC; her brother, Joe Lewis Carn of St. George, SC; Jest also leaves her special cousin/sister, Deborah Davis; special nieces, Katrina "Trina" and Toya; three special nephews, Kelvin "Kev", VaRon "Bud" and Troy who preceded in death; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
