Jeannette "Pumpkin" DeLee, daughter of Oscar and Virginia Carn DeLee, departed her life on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC. She was born on October 10, 1981. Jeannette is preceded in death by her father Oscar Lester Harry DeLee and brother Richard Carn.

She graduated from Woodland High School (Class of 2000). After graduating high school Jeannette became a licensed cosmetologist. Jeannette worked at a local hair salon and Carter's Fast Stop in Saint George, SC until her health decline.

Jeannette loved doing hair. She enjoyed laughing with her family and friends. She was loving and caring person. She had an amazing heart of gold. Also, she had a contagious smile that we all will dearly miss.

The beloved memory of Jeannette will be forever cherished by: her children, Shania Simmons and Clarence Simmons, Jr. both of Saint George, SC; mother, Virginia Carn DeLee of Saint George, SC; one sister, Glory (Brad) DeLee of Ridgeville, SC; one grandson, Austin Simmons of Saint George, SC; one niece, Elayjah DeLee of Saint George, SC; one nephew, Elijah DeLee of Saint George, SC; a special adopted cousin, Jaysian Allen; a special friend, Tameka Davis of Walterboro, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
