A Time To Be Born
JC Syphrett was born April 4, 1936 in Branchville, SC. JC departed this life on September 13, 2013 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Clarence and Angie Syphrett. He was the youngest of six children. Four siblings preceded him in death, Leroy Syphrett, Millie Murray, Mary Syphrett and one that did not survive at birth.
A Time To Live
JC Syphrett grew up in Reevesville, SC and attended the public schools of Dorchester County. JC joined Jericho Baptist Church at an early age. JC was employed for many years in the logging business. After many dedicated years of working, he retired from JP Stevens Manufacturing of Walterboro, S.C.
A Time To Mourn
JC Syphrett leaves to sorrowfully mourn and forever cherish his memories: a very special friend, Dorothy Stokes of St. George, SC; five children, Wilbur Mack of Oklahoma, James Mack of Florida, Jasper (Carolyn) Lewis of Goose Creek, SC, Maxine Lewis of Charleston, SC and Millie (Dennis) Johnson of Rowesville, SC; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Rosamae Lewis of St. George, SC; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; three special young ladies that was a part of his life and he was very fond of them from their childhood; Jaquetta Murray of Atlanta, Ga., Heather Hill of Clemson, SC and Teona Martino of St. George, SC and two very close friends Larry Sims and Lee Raspberry of St. George, SC.
