Jannie Lee Disher, the second oldest daughter of Lazarus and Elizabeth Disher who both preceded her in death, was born September 27, 1938 in St. George, South Carolina.  She grew up in the community of her birth.

Jannie attended Williams Memorial High School in achieving her education and received her high school diploma.  Jannie was a dedicated, hard worker who took pride in everything she did.

Jannie attended Good Hope Baptist Church, St. George, SC where she accepted Christ as her personal savior.

After high school graduation Jannie moved to Bronx, New York in pursuing her career.

She was employed by an Advertising Company in Manhattan, NY as an Accounts Payable Specialist.  She worked for many years until she retired.  Prior to Jannie retiring she loved to travel.  Jannie traveled to Florida twice a year to visit her mom, sister, nieces and nephews.  She traveled to Germany, Canada, Austin, Texas, Trinidad/Tobago and she also enjoyed many cruises.

Jannie joined the Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Bronx, NY and was a faithful member for many years until her health started to fail.  After which, she relocated to Mims, Florida in 2016 to live with her sister.  She often greeted family members with a pinch on their cheeks as a sign of her love and affection for them.

Jannie was preceded in death by her oldest sister Florrais B.  Mack on October 30, 2020.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her  loving siblings: Horace Disher (Annie), Columbia, SC, and Sidney Disher (Edna), Reevesville, SC; a host of nieces,  nephews, great nieces, great-great nieces, great nephews, great-great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
