In the early morning hours on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023; God called his name and he answered.

James Edward Mack, Jr. was born on December 12, 1956, in Summerville, SC to the late Cleveland and Rosa Bell Mack. He was the 8th out of 10 children and was the youngest son. James received his education in the Dorchester County School District and became a member of the House of God Harleyville at a young age. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Cleveland Mack Jr and Lela Bryant.

James Edward was a jack of all trades. He held various jobs and positions throughout the years. He was a plumber, welder, electrician, carpenter and whatever else you needed him to be. Before retiring, he was employed at Ace Hardware in Harleyville, SC for many years.

During his spare time, James enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his family and friends. He had a smile and a laugh that was contagious. He left an impression on everyone he met.

James Edward was a father to two sons and grandfather to two grandsons.

To forever cherish his memories, James leaves his children, Jonathan (Tamrhan) Mack of Charlotte, NC and Eric Mack of Harleyville, SC; grandchildren, Teegan and Memphis of Charlotte, NC; 5 sisters, Georgia Mae Carn, Julie (the late Dean) Fogle, Elder Jannie (the late Louis) Britt, Cynthia (Melvin) Footman and Rose Ann Barnes; 3 brothers, Gilbert (Linda Sue) Mack, Robert (Ernestine) Mack all of Dorchester, SC and Nathaniel Mack of Seneca, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
