The journey of life for Brother James W. Harrison, son of the late Solomon and Mattie Mae Britt Harrison, began on February 27, 1946 in Dorchester County. On Friday morning, May 20, 2016, God's Angel of Mercy came and took him home to be with the Lord.
"Bo" or "Bozie", as he was affectionately called by family and friends, attended the public schools of Dorchester and Orangeburg Counties.
At an early age, he joined the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
After forty plus years of service "Bo" retired from New York Wire formerly known as JP Stevens and CCX in Walterboro, SC.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Solomon Harrison, Jr. and James C. Harrison and one sister, Mary Frances Butler.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his loving and devoted wife, Dale E. Harrison; two daughters, Jaimie Harrison and Chrishannah Prater; one son, Bryan Way; three grandchildren, Veronica Prater, Faith Prater and LaDalurius "Ty" Way; six sisters, Lillie (Louis) Butler, Marie (Robert) Gadson, Mattie (Greg) Ayers, Neomia (Richard) Hamilton, Emma (Sam) Jenkins and Angela "Angie" (William) Hall; one brother, Julious (Linda) Harrison; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
