Jackie passed away peacefully from this life the evening of September 25, 2024. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family. Jackie was born on January 30, 1946, in Reevesville, SC. Preceded in death by parents James and Susie Evans, Joseph Walker and Mary Lee Bryant.

Jackie's love was working on automobiles in his business Evans' Body Shop. Through this business he worked on several people's cars in the community. He assembled his own personal Racing Car which displayed the name of his business. He spent the majority of his time working outdoors. He enjoyed working with his hands. He loved riding with his son-in-law, Terry to go out to eat, especially at Waffle House. Most of all his love of God was evident whenever you talked with him. He always left you with a scripture before ending the conversation and a smile.

Jackie is survived by his wife Deloris Gilbert Evans, his children, and spouses; Jacqueline Evans Miller (Terry just like a son) of Reevesville, SC, Elliot Bernard Evans of North Charleston, SC and Calandra (Eddie) Lusk of Cumming, Georgia. Four Grandchildren: Eddie Lusk III of Alpharetta, Georgia, Airman Tyree Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Jeliah Lusk and Michael Lusk of Cumming, Georgia. One Great-Grandson, Eddie Lusk IV of Alpharetta, Georgia. A host of other relatives and friends.
