Horace Haynes Jr. was born on November 28,1953 to the late Horace and Mary Lee Haynes in Dorchester County. He departed this life on June 13, 2025 at St. George Health care Center. He joined St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age. He attended the Public Schools of Dorchester County. He was employed by Trident Hospital for a brief time.

Horace was preceded in death by one sister, Deloris Zeigler; three brothers, John Brothers, Melvin Haynes and Benny Haynes; two nephews, Woodrow Brothers and Ronald Zeigler; one niece, Lula Wilson.
