On Friday morning June 24, 2011, God's Angel of Mercy came to claim his own, Herbert Wolfe, the only child of the late Wilson and Aleen Neals Wolfe.
Herbert was born September 1, 1947. At an early age, he joined the Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He attended the public schools of Dorchester County.
Upon graduating from high school, Herbert married Mattie Mae Toomer in 1966. This union was blessed with four children.
1984, Herbert married Laverne Benjamin and this union one child was born.
Herbert worked for Salisbury Brick Company until the company relocated.
Herbert loved life, family and friends. He had an extraordinary love for the St. Mark Community as well as being a member of the Soul Stars Bike Club. His presence will surely be missed.
Herbert leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Laverne Wolfe of Walterboro, SC; one daughter, Wanda Wolfe of St. George, SC; four sons, Marion Wolfe, Greg (Kimberly) Wolfe, Craig Wolfe and Antroy Wolfe all of St. George, SC; one stepdaughter, Lashonda Benjamin of Walterboro, SC; seven grandsons and one granddaughter; one aunt Dorothy Kitt of St. George, SC; five brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; one special friend, Tom Parrin and a host of extended family and friends.
