Mr. Henry Clay Summers, Sr. son of the late Richard and Vernell Davis Summers was born September 30, 1957 in Miami, Florida.  He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

He was educated at South Miami Senior High School in Miami, Florida.  He moved to Bowman, South Carolina thirty seven years ago where he met the love of his life Bridgett Elaine Summers.

He worked as a cement finisher for most of his life.  He loved to do yard work.  He had a giving heart and was willing to help everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Joyce and Deloris Summers.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his longtime wife of thirty six years, Bridgett Elaine Summers of the home; two daughters, Charett (Kidrian) Johnson of Branchville, SC and Shaquetta (Devin) Pelzer of Bowman, SC; two sons, Henry (LaDedra) Summers, Jr. of St. George, SC and Lavincent Felder of Orangeburg, SC; a special daughter, Yoursheka (Courtney) McClorin of Bowman, SC; eight loving grandchildren, Kidrian Johnson, Jr., Kendra Johnson, Harmony Summers, Torrian Elliott, Courneshia McClorin, Courtney McClorin, Jr. and Courna McClorin; three brothers, James (Betty) Summers of Ft. Laurderdale, FL, Rickey (Sharn) Summers of Tallahassee, FL and Elijah (Barbara) Summers of Salisbury, NC; brother-in-law,  Curtis (Sharon) Shuler of Bowman, SC; three uncles, Henry (Elaine) Summers, and Niehemiah (Bernice) Shuler both of Bowman, SC and Dan Shuler of New York; one aunt, Elease Frazier of Branchville, SC; an adopted family, The Void Family of Bowman, SC; very special nieces and nephews, Renee Rogers, Paris Bookard, Jake Bookard and Tacobi Void; three special friends, Antwain Fairey, Rashad Kelly and David Guilyard all of Bowman, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
