Mrs. Hattie Green was born April 29, 1944, in Dorchester County.  The daughter of the late Bennie Lee and Mamie Cobb.  She answered her call on February 19, 2021 at Colleton Regional Hospital in Walterboro, South Carolina.

Hattie attended school in Harleyville, South Carolina and worked as a waitress for several years in the mid 70's.  Due to an accident in the late 70's she was unable to continue working.  Her favorite pastime was baking and cooking in her early years.

At an early age Hattie joined St. Mark Baptist Church in Pregnall, South Carolina where she continued to serve until her health began to fail.

Hattie was preceded in death by her son, Dexter B. Green and her sister-in-law, Rachel Mae Cobbs.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, Linda Mae Dwight, Orangeburg, SC; a very devoted brother, Elder Henry Lee Cobbs of St. George, SC; six grandchildren, Chevis M. Dwight, Shakra D. Dwight, Benjamin G. Dwight, Jr., Benji X. Dwight and Alison S. Dwight all of Orangeburg, SC and Denise Green of Charleston, SC; one Aunt Carrie Mae Britt of Orangeburg, SC; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild all of Orangeburg, SC; a host of nieces, and nephews and three devoted friends, Joann Cusack, Debra Davis and Audrey Jennings.
