Obituary

Mr. Harry Brothers was born on June 12, 1955, to the late Ella Mae Summers Brothers and Maldo Brothers in St. George, SC. At an early age, he Joined New Hope AME Church and attended the public schools of South Carolina, including Williams Memorial and St. George High School.

Harry enjoyed fishing, dancing, listening to oldies and goodies music, and most of all, having a good time. Along with his twin brother, Larry, he was known as the life of any party, always bringing laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories wherever he went.   He loved his nieces and nephews.

Harry was employed with Exxon for many years as a forklift operator. He also enjoyed mechanic work and took pride in helping family, friends, and neighbors with their vehicles.

On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Harry gained his heavenly wings at Trident Hospital in North Charleston, SC, surrounded by the love of his family.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Maldo and Ella Mae Brothers; his siblings, Maldo Jr. Brothers, Patricia Brothers Seabrook, Aaron Brothers, and Larry Brothers; and his niece, Sandra "Dee" Stevenson.

Harry leaves to cherish his memories: his siblings, James C. (Emma) Brothers of Harleyville, SC, Dianne (Johnnie) Smith of St. George, SC, and Gloria (James) Ferguson of Moncks Corner, SC; a special honorary family member, Carolyn Elmore of Clinton, SC; sister-in-law, Beverly Brothers of St. George, SC; a very special sister­ cousin, Elease Vanderhorst of Summerville, SC; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
