On June 2, 2019, God called one of His angels home.  Harm Leroy "Sonny Boy" Lary was born on March 4, 1936 to the Late Rona Husser Lary and the Late Winston Lary.  Harm grew up in Harleyville, SC, where he went to public school.  At an early age he joined Elem Baptist Church.  After graduating high school, in 1954 he joined the U.S. Army where he served 3 years.

On April 14, 1959 Harm was joined in Holy Matrimony with the love of his life Ms. Dorabell Goodwin and to this union two children were born.  Later he joined The House of God Harleyville where he loved to attend Sunday School.

After getting out of the military, Harm worked various jobs then finally retiring from Dorchester County School District Four in June of 2006.  Harm and Dorabell became foster parents.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his loving wife, Dorabell Lary; one sister, Ruthie Mae Carson of Harleyville, SC;  five sisters preceded him in death; two sons, Mr. Stevie Leroy Lary of Ocala, FL and Mr. Michael Anthony Lary (Kitika) of Harleyville, SC; five grandchildren, Ladesia Gregg of Columbia, SC, Selena Lary, Serena Lary, Michael Lary Jr., and Mickael, all of Harleyville, SC, three great-grands, Ladasha Elmore of Columbia, SC,  Jonathan Brown of Dorchester, SC and Londyn Gregg  of Columbia, SC and, one great, great, grand Royal Elmore of Columbia, SC; two special nieces, Cindy Hampleton of Harleyville, SC and Mindy (Chris) Jones of St. George, SC;  a host of sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews; special caretakers, Temeka Thompson, Cherry Newton and Jannie Smith.
