Obituary

Reverend Gracie Larkins Hill, the daughter of the late Mattie M. Larkins-Lary and George Larkins, Sr. was born October 8, 1941.  Sister Gracie Larkins Hill entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 2, 2021.

Reverend Gracie Larkins Hill was a member of the Dorchester County Ministerial Alliance for many years.  She graduated from Fuller Normal Industrial Institute on May 31, 1993, where she received a Bachelor's Degree of Divinity.  She was ordained by Bishop W.E. Fulller, Jr. She pastored Pregnall Browns Temple FBH Church of God of the Americans in Pregnall, South Carolina, where she stayed for five years.

Reverend Gracie Larkins Hill was recognized by the former, Governor Mark Sanford as the oldest graduate of the Full Gospel Bible Institute in 2010.

She retired from Bell South currently known as AT & T in 1989.  She continued her life in prayer, praying for the sick and God healing them.  She was asked to do the prayer on the radio station WQIZ in St. George, SC.  She told the Lord, "I don't know how to pray or what to say".  She heard a small still voice say, "just pray my words".  Many people were blessed.  She was a driver for the Department of Social Services.  She drove people to healing.  Many people were healed through her prayers.  She also drove for Santee Wateree, taking patients to dialysis.

She led devotional services at Bishop Wellness Center twice a week.  They fell in love with her and enjoyed her conversations about God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie M. Larkins-Lary and George Larkins, Sr., one son, Barry J. Gene Larkins; one sister, Abbie Larkins Smith and one brother, George Larkins, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her children, Sandy Hill, Robin Hill and Tamarah Hill; grandchildren, Joshua (Darlene) Smith, Latoya (Hercules, III) Perry-Davis, Candice Cole, Carlton Hill, Alex Brown and Keyona Sessions; six great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
