On April 22, 2025, Gloria "Anne" Green Shuler was summoned home to eternal rest from Trident Medical Center after an extended illness. She was affectionately called "Anne" by all of her family and friends. She was born on August 5, 1964 in Dorchester County to the late Harold Green, Sr. and Beatrice Henderson Green. Anne was a member of Jericho Baptist Church for many years. She was a graduate of St. George High School and attended college afterwards.

At an early age, Anne was a caregiver for her family. In her later years, she worked for South Carolina's Department of Social Services as a receptionist. After her departure, she was employed by the St. George Healthcare Center as a receptionist for many years, a job she thoroughly enjoyed.

Anne has helped many people throughout her life, and has been another mother for many children. She had a beautiful, infectious smile and a heart of pure gold. There was nothing she had that she wasn't willing to share. She was an amazing cook, and could make collard greens and stuffing like no other. She had a vibrant personality that lit up any room she entered.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Jessie Ruth Rivers, Lizzie Mae Goodwin and Harriet Green; four brothers, Harold Green, Jr., Larry Green, Johnnie Green and Thomas Mickey Green; two nieces, Charmaine Goodwin and Laquisha Britt; one nephew, Dimickie Green and her precious  grandson, Phoenix Walls.

Anne leaves to cherish her precious memories: her sons, Dextrice (Sha'Keyla) Shuler of Goose Creek, SC and Malik (Shaqueena) Shuler of St. George, SC; three grandchildren whom she adored, Zy'Kir Shuler and Eli Shuler of Goose Creek, SC and Amoura Anna Walls of St. George, SC; her spouse, Thomas Pelzer of St. George, SC; a nephew she reared as her own, Jay-Marion "Munchie" Ferguson of St. George, SC; one brother, William Branch of Yemassee, SC; a niece who was reared as her sister, Florinda (Vincent) Britt of Columbia, SC; three sisters-in-law, Jacqualyn Green of Summerville, SC, Lizzie Mae Green and Brenda Addison of St. George, SC; aunt, Beaulah Gaithers of Bradenton, FL; uncle, Arthur (Annie Carol) Green; a young lady who she considered her grandchild, Patrice Renee Spell; her beloved nieces and nephews, Lanesha Green, Jerry Goodwin, Vincent D. Britt, Larry Green, Marcus Green, Yolanda Williams, Brian Rivers, Damon Bryant, Tameka Johnson, Bisceglia Gilliard, and Sheyann Green, and Danielle Thompson; a special great niece, Neela Goodwin and a host of other relatives and friends.
