Geanette Smiley was born on October 23rd 1952 to the late Sam Smiley, Sr. and Louise Ladson. She departed this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her residence in Rosinville, S.C.

Geanette was born in Dorchester County, S.C. She graduated from High School and went on to work and live in New York city for many years. She later moved back to South Carolina to continue her service in the health care field.

She joined the House of God Church in Harleyville, S.C. at an early age and then later moved her membership to The House of God for All People where she was a faithful servant and usher.

Geanette was a loving and devoted daughter, who cared for her mother until her mother's passing.

Geanette was the fifth of five children. She was preceded in death by two brothers and is survived by her two sisters, Geraldine Brooks of St George, S.C. and Stella Shaw of Raleigh, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
