Obituary

On Monday, October 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. God took a slow walk through his Heavenly Garden and saw the need for another rose, so he quietly, whispered to Mother Frizel , "I will take you this time and gently escorted her to her Heavenly home. She was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Lavinia Britt Phillips Thompson. She was born July 14, 1923 in St. George, SC. Our Heavenly Father allowed her to live in the world he so marvelously created for 93 years, 2 months, 4,844 weeks and 33, 908 days.

What a blessing, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many, many years ago. Through all trials and tribulations she endured, she always kept the faith praising God to the end.

She attended the public schools of Dorchester County. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Will Dave Elmore on October 28, 1944. To this union five children were born, her eldest daughter, Annie Elmore Primus preceded her in death.

Mother Frizel had so much wisdom she experienced various circumstances during her life. She was always willing to share and compare her life of yesterday to our lives today. Hoping and praying that we would have a better life. She shared her wealth of information with her children and to anyone that took time to engage in a fulfilling and enlightening conversation with her.

Through the years many young ladies and men adopted her as their Mother. She would tell them you must trust God in all things, she shared many life lessons. She loved the Lord and was a model of god's work. She would tell everyone she came in contact with you cannot make it without the Lord.

She leaves to continue her legacy, three daughters, Debra Elmore, Shirley Elmore and Carolyn (Jeffery) Felder all of St. George, SC; one son, Cyrus Elmore of St. George, SC; one granddaughter, LaTrena Elmore was reared in the home; one sister, Vanize Gilchrist of Charleston, SC; one sister-in-law, Barbara White of St. George, SC; 10 grandchildren, Terence (Jennifer) Primus, Kesha Anderson, Andre' Primus, Marcus Hightower, Jamel Elmore, Lyesha Felder, Nyesha Elmore, Khadija (Andra) Saxon, and Daunte' Trappier; 15 great grandchildren, Terence, Jamal, Kourtnei, KaDarius, Asha, Breyana, Marquis, Myasia, Danyel, De'Shaun, Makai, Marcus, Shamar, Collin, and Cyrus Jamel; one great grand, Kallie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
