Frankie Mae Marshall was born on Tuesday May 28, 1929, in Savannah, Georgia. Frankie Mae was the sixth child born to the late Alexander Marshall, Jr, and Carrie Jenkins Marshall. She is preceded in death by her Sister Elease, brothers James, Emerson, Alexander III, and Sister Mamie.

Frankie was raised in Savannah; Georgia where she attended elementary school. Frankie attended and graduated from Shanklin High School, Burton, South Carolina. While living in Savannah she received her religious education at Bethlehem Baptist Church, and was baptized by late Rev. S.A. Baker.

Once relocating to New York City in 1946, she joined First Baptist Church of Corona, New York under the pastorate of the late Rev. J Crocker. During her tenure at First Baptist Church Frankie was a Sunday School teacher, and a faithful member of the Willing Workers Club.

In 1967 upon relocating to St. George SC to be the caretaker of her beloved mother, she joined Jerusalem Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. J.S. Utsey. When Frankie relocated to SC she continued to labor in the vineyard of the Lord, in the capacity of Sunday School Teacher, Secretary & President of the Usher Board, Member of the Missionary Society, Church Treasurer. Faithful Advisor Emerita of the YWA of the Lovely Hill Baptist Association. Dedicated Treasurer of the Lovely Hill Baptist Usher Convention. Devoted Member and Treasurer of the Oakville Chapter #8 of the Eastern Star & White Oaks Chapter # 37.

Frankie was well known in Dorchester County for the work she did at BCD Head Start Program. She was a blessing to many families in the Community. She retired in 1995.

Frankie had a very giving heart, and did not hesitate to help people she knew or even thought that they had a need. She would readily provide her help. Frankie was loved, and admired by many. She was a committed Woman of God, who was a true worshipper. She continued to enjoy praise & worship while her health declined.

Frankie was the type of Woman that impacted everyone's life that she interacted with. She was an excellent cook and baker. Any and everything she cooked was delicious. She expressed her love by cooking for people.

She will be missed by many, but not forgotten.

She leaves to mourn her passing loving devoted nieces, Sister Brenda Marshall-Stewart, Sister Sheri Marshall-Meikle and Julie Marshall; Grandnieces, Terri Marshall-Witherspoon, Relayna Stewart, and Alexandria King; Grandnephew, Alexander Marshall IV (Pamela), and George C. Meikle (Demetria); Great grandnieces, Simone Witherspoon, and Relayna Taylor; Great grandnephews, Geoffrey Witherspoon Jr. Esq., Jonathan Taylor, and Geordon Meikle, Great, Great grandniece, Brooklyn Beary.

Beloved cousin and Special Angel Patricia "Trixie" Jamison, and a host cousins & extended family, God Children and friends.
